About Tresillian Lodge

Tresillian Lodge is a privately owned woodland retreat at Trehane Mill in Tresillian, near Truro. It was created to give guests a stronger sense of privacy, space and connection with the surrounding landscape than a typical holiday rental.

The result is a three-bedroom lodge for up to six guests, built around open living, oak finishes, woodland views and year-round comfort.

A Lodge Shaped by Its Setting

The property sits in a historic oak woodland valley with a stream running through the grounds. Rather than separating the accommodation from the landscape, the design uses large windows, a balcony and natural materials to keep the setting visible from inside.

Oak parquet flooring, vaulted architectural details and warm interior finishes give the lodge its individual character. The open-plan layout helps natural light move through the main living space and creates a relaxed place for guests to spend time together.

Designed as a Home, Not a Standard Rental

Tresillian Lodge was not planned as a row of short-stay units or a generic furnished property. The aim was to create one complete private home where guests could settle in comfortably.

The lodge is approached along a private lane and has no shared guest facilities. Your group can use the living areas, balcony, hot tub and guest spaces without sharing them with other holidaymakers.

Connected to Cornwall

Although the property feels secluded, it remains close to Truro and well placed for exploring South Cornwall.

Guests can visit the cathedral city, follow the Roseland coast, walk around Trelissick, spend a day at the Eden Project or explore the Lost Gardens of Heligan before returning to the lodge.

The location supports a slower style of travel. Rather than moving accommodation every night, guests can use one comfortable base and explore a different part of Cornwall each day.

Hosted With Local Support

The property is managed by Adrian Ballantyne with support from a local house manager. The team provides arrival guidance, help during the stay and recommendations when guests need local knowledge.

Direct support is especially valuable because the lodge is in a private rural setting. Guests receive detailed directions and practical information before arrival.
