A Private Setting Near Truro
Tresillian offers a useful base for exploring central and South Cornwall. The village lies east of Truro and near the approach to the Roseland Peninsula, allowing guests to combine city visits, countryside walks, estuary scenery and beach days within one stay.
Tresillian Lodge is approximately 10 minutes from Truro by car under normal conditions. South Cornwall’s coast and villages on the Roseland Peninsula can typically be reached in around 20 minutes or more, depending on the destination, season and traffic.

Reaching the Lodge by Car
Driving is the most practical way to reach the lodge and explore the surrounding area.
The final approach follows a private single-track lane of approximately one kilometre. The lane can become uneven or muddy at certain times of year. Normal family cars and standard vehicles are generally suitable, but very low sports cars are not recommended.
Travelling by Train
Truro railway station is the most convenient major rail connection for the lodge. It links Cornwall with services towards Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol and London.
Guests arriving by train should arrange a taxi or hire car in advance. Rural taxi availability can be limited at busy times, particularly in the evening, on Sundays and during peak holiday periods.
A car is strongly recommended for visitors who plan to explore beaches, villages, gardens and attractions across the Roseland Peninsula.
Travelling by Air
Cornwall Airport Newquay is the closest commercial airport for many domestic routes. Travel time to the lodge depends on traffic and the selected route.
Visitors arriving by air should pre-book a hire car or private transfer. Public transport may require several connections and is less practical when carrying luggage.

Truro provides the widest nearby selection of supermarkets, independent shops, cafés, restaurants and services. Guests who prefer to settle in immediately may wish to buy groceries before following the private lane to the property.
Tresillian and nearby villages also offer local amenities, but opening hours can be more limited than in Truro.
